Violet "Betty" (Griffin) Bush
AGE: 86 • Newark
Went home to Willard to the Lord on Thursday, August 7, 2014.
Born in Landenberg, PA, Mrs. Bush was the daughter of the late Harry J. Griffin and Violet E. Simmers. She worked for Pathmark from 1967 until she retired. She was a member of the Howard Weston Senior Center, New Castle. She enjoyed doing ceramics and line dancing.
She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Linda Norman of Newark, DE; her son, Charles Bush of Middletown, DE; her grandchildren, Noranne, Willard, Jennifer Wilson and Elizabeth Bush; and great grandchildren, Jefferey, Amanda, Jesse, Brittany, Ashley, Sophia, Stephany, Jenna, Alexus, James, and Jax; and three stepgrandchildren, Charlene Goodwin, Terri Ciuffetelli, and Anzel (Duke) Norman; and six great stepgrandchildren. Also surviving are her brother Ralph Griffin; her sisters, Leona Mayfield and Nellie Sluder; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends and family are invited to visitation on Tuesday, August 12th between 11 AM and 12 noon at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington where funeral services will begin at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Silverbrook Cemetery, Wilmington. MealeyFuneralHomes.com
